What does P242F mean?
The DTC P242F (DPF Restriction - Ash Accumulation) is a fault code stored by the ECU when it detects a DPF ash full condition in the dpf subsystem. It is commonly seen on European and Asian vehicles using Bosch, Continental, Siemens or Denso ECUs.

- DPF reached ash capacity (lifetime mileage)
- Failed regenerations
- Wrong oil spec (high ash oil)
How to fix P242F
Ash is non-combustible — only solution is DPF clean (€200-500) or replace. DaVinci DPF Off bypasses the monitoring.
