What does P2002 mean?
The DTC P2002 (Diesel Particulate Filter Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)) is a fault code stored by the ECU when it detects a DPF efficiency low condition in the dpf subsystem. It is commonly seen on European and Asian vehicles using Bosch, Continental, Siemens or Denso ECUs.
Common causes of P2002
- Saturated DPF
- Failed DPF differential pressure sensor
- Cracked/melted DPF substrate
How to fix P2002
Force regeneration first. If DPF is dead, options are: replace it (€800-2000) or DPF Off via DaVinci (where legal).
