What does P0340 mean?
The DTC P0340 (Camshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit (Bank 1)) is a fault code stored by the ECU when it detects a cam sensor A condition in the timing subsystem. It is commonly seen on European and Asian vehicles using Bosch, Continental, Siemens or Denso ECUs.

- Failed CMP sensor
- Wiring fault
- Bad connector
- Stretched timing chain
