Long Term Fuel Trim Add Fuel Bank 1 (VAG)
System: Air/Fuel
Severity: medium
What does P1136 mean?
The DTC P1136 (Long Term Fuel Trim Add Fuel Bank 1 (VAG)) is a fault code stored by the ECU when it detects a VAG lean LTFT B1 condition in the air/fuel subsystem. It is commonly seen on European and Asian vehicles using Bosch, Continental, Siemens or Denso ECUs.
Common causes of P1136
- Intake manifold runner leak (common 2.0 TFSI)
- PCV diaphragm failed
- N75 boost solenoid
- Dirty MAF
How to fix P1136
PCV smoke test first on TFSI engines. Cracked PCV diaphragm = lean code 90% of time.
