What does P0328 mean?
The DTC P0328 (Knock Sensor 1 Circuit High Input (Bank 1)) is a fault code stored by the ECU when it detects a knock sensor high condition in the ignition subsystem. It is commonly seen on European and Asian vehicles using Bosch, Continental, Siemens or Denso ECUs.
Common causes of P0328
- Failed sensor (shorted)
- Wiring short to power
- Loose mounting causing false signal
How to fix P0328
Check torque on knock sensor (spec ~20 Nm). Loose sensors give noise = false high signal.
