P0325
Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1)
System: Ignition
Severity: medium
What does P0325 mean?
The DTC P0325 (Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1)) is a fault code stored by the ECU when it detects a knock sensor B1 condition in the ignition subsystem. It is commonly seen on European and Asian vehicles using Bosch, Continental, Siemens or Denso ECUs.
Common causes of P0325
- Failed knock sensor
- Loose mounting bolt (must be torqued spec)
- Wiring shield broken
- ECU knock input fault
How to fix P0325
CRITICAL for tuned engines — without knock detection, ECU cannot retard timing on detonation. Replace immediately. Torque spec matters.
