What does P0731 mean?
The DTC P0731 (Gear 1 Incorrect Ratio) is a fault code stored by the ECU when it detects a gear 1 ratio condition in the transmission subsystem. It is commonly seen on European and Asian vehicles using Bosch, Continental, Siemens or Denso ECUs.
